Day 2 - Chinese National Holiday

On Saturday,  we did two cool things....we went to the TOP of the Shanghai World Financial Center ate we ate at a Tex Mex restaurant (yes, we  consider eating lunch cool when it is Tex Mex).

The Financial Center for those that don't know is a 100 story building and houses the highest obseration floor  in the world at 492 meters (and is one of the tallest buildings in world).  You might have seen pictures of this building before...it looks a lot like a bottle opener.  We went all the way to the 100th floor.  We got to walk on a glass floor and see all the way down to the streets of Shanghai.  You can see another very tall building in my pictures below, the Jin Mao building (421).  It is just slightly smaller than the Sears Tower (442 meter).  You can also see the Pearl Tower.

These buildings are located in the Pudong side of Shanghai about 15 minutes from our house.
We can actually see them from our house when we go out on the roof (our deck on the top of the house).  In the picture in the top of my blog, the financail center does not exist. It was just completed in 2008.

After this excitment, we crossed the river and tried a new restaurant. It was called Peter's Tex Mex Grill.  We both deceided that it could rival any Tex Mex Grill in the States.  Of course, the girls ate a hamburger, hot dog and a PB&J.  Roger and I both enjoyed our meals (and drinks).
